I couldn't even write this post without the wifi breaking TWICE. Is there anyone who knows how I can fix the wifi issue? It really renders my laptop useless at home. (At university this does not happen with the wifi, not sure why, but maybe it has to do with how the wifi is setup (public wifi)). This means that I can barely use my laptop at home. Not only it disconnects every 5 minutes, it also crashes the entire connection, which means i have to restart the router (also meaning all the connected devices at home will be disconnected). I tried with Linux but still all the issues persists.īut worst thing, is the wifi card. Sometimes when I put the computer to sleep it never opens again (screen remains black). When I watch a video on YouTube at full screen and minimize the full-screen, the audio increases for some reason. Sometimes when I turn off Bluetooth, it does turn off but also turn off Night Light as well for some reason. But that's pretty much it.įirst of all, the overall OS stability is not that good (At least coming from Macbook Pro). I really tried to love this laptop, it has an amazing build quality and really an outstanding display and great keyboard. The wireless adapter is a Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4a Wireless Network Adapter. I've followed this: up to and including method 3 and dropped my adapter's roaming aggressiveness to low without success. When I'm at home at my apartment, the wifi connection on my laptop eventually stabilizes for a few hours, but after turning it off for the night and on in the morning (or putting the laptop on standby/sleep) it'll get wonky again. My laptop connects to my school's and friends' home networks fine. My phone (Samsung Galaxy S6) and my roommates' devices (Macbook Airs and iPhones) are all able to connect to the network fine.
However, these past few days, my laptop is struggling to maintain a connection to my apartment's wifi and keeps dropping the wifi connection. Hi all! I bought the Lenovo Yoga 720 around Mid-August and have had an okay experience with it so far bar some issues that so far have cleared themselves up.
